ok so i want to get rid of my mechanical fan and put in a efan. what will work i found this on ebay. now since its a slim fan will it fit better any of you guys done this ?

Do some research before modding the XJ cooling system. The OE stock efan blows something like 2300 CFM and with a good fan clutch, the mechanical will blow way more CFM than the stock efan at just above idle speed. U don't want reduce air flow thru the rad.......not this time of year.

i wanted to do that too but i figured id just put three efans along with the fan shroud. keeps my xj well under 210 in traffic or off it real happy with it.

My Jeep heats up at idle in traffic abnormally quick but when i flip the switch for the stock e fan to come on i never have an issue, even on trails.

Well its been working great for me for the past 4 months with no problems at all even in stop and go traffic in Chicago
