Default Efan Problem

Well as u can see i am new to jeeps. Ive posted so may questions it isnt funny but everyone on this forum has helped me with all my jeep problems so thank you. ok now onto my efan problem. I bought a jeep xj year 96 and the previous owner had the efan rigged to turn on by switch. efan was broken so i replaced it with one from 92. when the temp reaches over 210 the fan does not ingage. the temp just keeps rising. So i looked under the hood and the 15a fuse was blown, replaced it it blew again. wound up being a short. fixed short fan still does not come on. So switch relays still nothing. but when i jump the fan through the fuse box in the relay socket the fan come on. so there is no broblem with the wiring. I beleive the ECU is bad because it does not tell the efan to engage. forgot to mention i replaced the temp sensor in the tstat housing and it read temps fine on guages and obd computer.

thanks
