Hi to all, I need some suggestion to solve my little problem. On my '90 xj 4.0 renix (before conversion have a bendix abs that I've removed), I've rear disc brake conversion an ZJ brake booster, all run well but the brake light not!
what did I forget to do?

 

Check the switch for the parking brake handle. Its probably out of adjustment and isnt registering.

 

I know it's a PITA, but since, arguably, that bulb in the cluster is used more than others, it could be burned out if they're all original (28 years on a bulb is a long time). Here's a reference chart for the bulbs used.

I'd check the sensor first, like fb97xj1 mentioned, as it's less invasive.

Something to think aboot.



Edit: those are bulbs for other interior applications; here are the instrument cluster bulbs:

 

Do you have a low fluid switch on the brake fluid reservoir or on the proportioning valve? Unplug it and see if the light comes on.

 

the lamp works while I start. I tried to disconnect the plug from the prop valve but it does not come on.
