ZJ disk brake Ebrake cable... ?
After a hour of google searching and reading many write ups I havent found a definite answer.
I know you can still use the XJ park brake cable on the ZJ swap by looping it and clamping.
My question is can you use the ZJ ebrake cables themselves with out any fabing ?

I picked up ZJ cables and everything else needed for the swap for $50 and were hoping they would work. If they dont I will do the loop and clamp trick. KJs are rare here in the JY and new KJ cables would be out of my budget.

When I did the ZJ rear brake conversion on my '99 w/ 8.25, I used NAPA #95064 and 95969 cables. These worked just right for me, no looping and clamping and they fit in the original brake equalizer. On a side note, I wasn't happy with the stock proportioning valve. It would not lock up the rears, even on dirt. I bought a valve (52009061-AB), swapped over the original mounting bracket, and now it's perfect. I hope this helps.

The stock XJ valve was unsatisfactory. The new valve I used is for the ZJ. I did have to get a different wiring connecter for the brake warning light switch though. I just went to the junkyard and cut one off a newer Dodge van. The cables were $22.00 and $32.00 at my local Napa. As a former employee I usually get a decent discount, so they may cost you more.
