No it was from bestautomotive there is a chick holding the header in the picture. when you search Jeep Cherokee exhaust header and sort by lowest first those are the ones. and how did the ones from crown auto worked? Quality and Power?

Just a word to the wise.
If your old enough to remember when Hot Rods had a Holley carb, and headers.
1 3/4" headers was for high RPM applications and 1 5/8" was much better for torque and drive ability. I can just imagine what a 1 7/8" would do.
I don;t think even the huge ports of the 351 Cleveland 4 Barrel engines used a header that large. I know my 460 in a Bronco is 1 3/4"
Your loosing exhaust velocity and the tuned pipe effect, the exhaust charge actually scavenges the cylinder and creates a low pressure wave behind it that draws the exhaust out of the cylinder as the valve opens.

So thus the reason your LARGE headers cost Torque and Fuel mileage.

Thanx Caish for the tip and your right bigger the diameter of the tube less of the back pressure so loss of of power. But what headers do you recommend is 1 1/2 diameter perfect for more mod like turbo set up in the future. any links for good decent$$$ headers.

I wished I could recommend more. But I can't.
I would be dishonest to say I've tried any of the aftermarket headers on my XJ. I just know what worked in the past and why.

Now the 10 day Jeep Speedracer Build the used Banks Engineering 3 in 2 in 1.

They race jeeps and should know what works well. From the article the engine was a stock 130k mile mill.

I would say they know what works right.
Good Luck with your build and parts search.

Could you share the link of the one that you finally found on Ebay?
I'm also looking to replace the manifold on my 98 XJ and want to compare.

I would say the 1 5/8"
But looking at the picture it looks like their header is the same diameter as the OEM one.
Good Luck with your project.

uhhh.. whatever you get now will NOT work with any turbo without extensive modification. Once you go turbo, you will get rid of whatever headers you have (or do some crazy welding) and swap to an exhaust manifold. In a sense they are the same thing. They collect the exhaust.

But where headers dump them off to your tail pipe, the exhaust manifold uses that pressure to spin a turbine. <--- connected to another turbine which is sucking in fresh air and stuffing it into your intake side.

There are plenty of 'how a turbo works' websites with pictures and better explanations that you should probably read up on first.
