Has anyone tried the new E3 spark plugs? Whats everyones thoughts on them?

 

Not sure if they would do any good in the 4.0. Most people swear by Champion coppers or NGK plugs for the 4.0

 

DON"T BUY THEM!!!
They are not worth the money and more then likely you Jeep will run like crap with them. If I'm not mistaken on the years but you want to use NGK for 99-2001 and Champion copper top gaped at .035 for anything older. Hope this answers you question.

Those plugs are nothing more than a gimmic to make money.

Stick with standard plugs.

 

Forget those spark plugs, I have a bridge I'll sell you cheap.

E3s don't give you any advantage with the Jeep 4.0 engine.

In fact, more than a few 4.0 engines have had misfires with E3 (not all) and those misfires went away when the plugs were changed to Champion or NGK.

Save your money.

I recommend Champion copper plugs for the 87-99 XJ 4.0 I recommend NGK copper plugs for the 00-01 (hold up a little better with the ignition system the 00-01 has). Be SURE you gap all plugs to .035. Never trust the gap out of the box.
