This kid must be talking about his swaybar cause I seriously doubt he drove 20-30 miles with no track bar on. I broke my trackbar about a week ago on the trail and it took me forever to get it a couple miles back to the trailer on a forest service road. I could not turn left at all and almost wrecked it a couple times just trying to drive it back.

so everyone i drove without the trackbar kinda connected, i chained it in place using the steering stabalizer and metal chain, it held till i got to the shop, now i need a serious alignment, and it was the only thing i could do i mean i had to get it to the shop and i didnt go above thirty miles an hour there and im still alive so yes it can be done,

ps there was no bolt holding in the bottom part of the track bar, and i had to drill a hold big enough for the new trackbar

Back when I was very very stupid and naive, I actually my cherokee back from Pismo Beach Dunes to Santa Cruz without the trackbar (Rustys one broke and it was over 4th of July weekend so no shops were open). I only got a bad wobble once right in front of my house. I am sooooo lucky I didn't kill myself or others, it was decision I will forever regret.

Since then I religiously search and am on cherokee sites so that I don't do anything like that again and so I can help others avoid stupid mistakes.

Doing what you have to do is buying the correct parts instead of half ***ing something.....looks like you had the money to buy a bumper?

I was like... I think they put it there for a reason... lmao

I drove 45-50mph to and from my gfs and my house 4 times.

Luckily it's parked for now untill my gfs dad gets home to move his 68 camaro off the lift.
You must be mistaking your track bar with your sway bar. Without a trackbar your front axle is going to track allover the road. It is very dangerous to drive without a trackbar at all. NOTE: this excludes triangulated suspensions.

If you can't afford the right parts to lift your xj you have no business lifting it all, risking your life and more importantly others around you!

Go ahead and take your front right upper control arm off, as well as the lower left. I mean, like, there's already 2 others holding things together...

Do it right, douchebags.

I think the point has been made here..

Dont drive without a trackbar if you value your life, or be prepared for the consequences when you kill someones child and they get a good attorney.
