Driving with no rear shocks
So my rear upper shock mounts are messed up. I drilled em out but now i need a tap. I dont have a tap. My question is can I drive it to my school which is about 20 miles away (no freeway) with no rear shocks if I take it easy?

Mine did the same thing what I did was drill them completey out and go thru the luggage area in the back of the jeep remove the carpeting of course. When you have the 2 holes in side your keep User a drill bit and make the hole a tad bigger then drop some 1 inch grade 8 into the shock mounts. You will probably need a buddy becasue they will want to spin. I caulked the holes back up I did both shocks and took about 25 mins and you will not have to worry about this problem again. I have pics if you need them.

Drove it a bit today and let me say whoa is that annoying. I was about to get car sick going over bumps. Im gonna go see what I can do with those rear sway mounts I was reading about that on NAXJA seems like a sweet idea. This is not the first time I have broken bolts up there so I may rig something like 01xj did. I'll post pics when I get it staitened out.

So i drilled out the mounts today.put it right thru the floor pan after pulling back the carpet. I also got new hardware (all grade 8) so now I just have to drill out the sway bar peice to 5/8ths then mount em up. Should work well I'll take pics when complete.
