How bad is getting that nut that holds the yoke off without an impact gun? All I got is a breaker bar...

Maybe Ill have to look at getting one of those. I always heard they were nuthin compared to air. I like new toys though, so maybe Ill give it a shot. I def. need to get both front and back seals changed.

my buddy has a blue point air impact. when i did his pinion seal, we used my electric impact, he was blown away. took it off much easier and faster than his blue point.
he went out and bought one yesterday, they're on sale at crappy tire here for like 60 bux.
7.5 amp, 250 lb/ft of torque. with a good warranty. killer.

LIQUID COURAGE always make you stronger! I changed the rear pinion seal on my both my D35's by hand with a 1/2" ratchet.

Btw on my 91 my girlfriend saids I put it back on hella f****** tight too but I don't really remember that part. lol

mine is a mastercraft, it's a canadian tire house brand, but with a 3 year warranty. all mastercraft handtools have a lifetime warranty tho.

+1 on the impact gun. I did mine in no time at all. It was harder getting the bad seal out then it was getting the yoke off. I had to use a rather large crow bar to get the old seal out. Mine was only leaking for a day or so and it was pretty low. So make sure you check it regularly.
