Default Driveshaft - u-joint question

I removed my rear driveshaft and knocked out my u-joints. I made a bonehead mistake and did not mark it and now have confused which is the front and which connects to the dff.

Getting ready to drive in the new u- joints and wondering how bad have I messed up.

Also how important to replace the u-joint straps?

Working a 2000 and I am in the middle of a 242 swap.

Thanks.

Joints are the same. IF straps are decent, then not necessary. New strap/bolt kits are only a few dollars at your local parts store though.
