Driver's Window won't go down. New motor assembly doesn't work.
My Driver's window had a history of being super slow. Recently it decided to kick the bucket and now will not go down at all. All of my other windows work fine. Here are the things I have tried
I tested out the new assembly before installing, I felt the Regulator budge a bit but that was it. Sadly nothing seems to work. My window is currently taped in place, it's raining, and I have work tomorrow
- Disconnected the switch. Cleaned with Electric Parts Cleaner and Compressed Air
- "Hot Wired" the old motor using the battery. (This did not work so I figured the motor was shot)
- Purchased New Motor and Regulator Assembly

If i understand correctly he tried that with the new regulator not yet installed and still didn't work. Same symptoms.
Is that correct OPer?
If so, and if no broken door jam wires, i'd start thinking about changing the window switch module. They go bad....a lot.
Can get a new one on fleabay for around $40.

Stupid question but inside theres the little rubber strip that goes along the bottom of the window check to see if that squished itself inside the window. Mine randomly did this and wouldnt open at all. Stupid i know but worth a check.

For your issue, it means nothing if the LEDs work.
I had an issue where the driver's side switch wouldn't control the pass. window.
My original 290k+ mile front driver's switch module has long been resting in a land fill somewhere.
Since the new regulator still exhibits the same symptoms, its typically:
-broken wire(s) in the cable at the door jam
-bad or corroded connector at the switch module
-bad switch module
There's a Utube video on how to inspect/repair the typical fault these switch modules have, namely cold solder joints develop on the internal printed circuit board.
Caution, it a mild PITA to disassembly the switch module and need good soldering skills.
Good Luck!
