Quote: Those LED lights work independently of the actual up/down switches.
For your issue, it means nothing if the LEDs work.

I had an issue where the driver's side switch wouldn't control the pass. window.
My original 290k+ mile front driver's switch module has long been resting in a land fill somewhere.

Since the new regulator still exhibits the same symptoms, its typically:
-broken wire(s) in the cable at the door jam
-bad or corroded connector at the switch module
-bad switch module

There's a Utube video on how to inspect/repair the typical fault these switch modules have, namely cold solder joints develop on the internal printed circuit board.
Caution, it a mild PITA to disassembly the switch module and need good soldering skills.
Good Luck!
Thank you, I will look into the switch module and see if that's an issue. Do you know what colors the wires for the window are inside the rubber boot? I looked there already but perhaps they fell out of place when the broke and I can't see them

i had "broken wires" but you cant see them because the copper breaks inside the very tough insulation that does not break. thats why they are intermittent, wire moves inside insulation as you move the door.

i threaded 2 new wires from the door switch thru to the connectors in the kick area and soldered them at each end. left old wires there.
wire colors are in the haynes book.

I did another thorough inspection of the wires and managed to find a broken one. Soldered it back and my window is good as new. Funny thing is, the new motor STILL didn't work. I'm currently trying to get a refund for the bad part, but I'm happy I fixed the issue
