My 2001 XJ's windows all work, but the driver's side window will auto roll but instead of stopping, will click and click until I push the window switch back up. Any idea what the issue is? None of the other windows do this...

Experience with something similar in my '00. But mine was when you were rolling it keeping your finger on the button it would click and click until you let off the button.
I believe that it was a white worm gear in the regulator that gets stripped like described here:

Click products on the left, Jeep in the center, and then the either of the Jeep part numbers.

Are you having the same problem in reverse? Maybe.

I just bought a new one and called it a day.

Not happening in reverse, but I think replacing it is the easiest solution. Thanks!
