driver door switch wiring access
drivers side;replaced switch, but seems there's a short in wires. Interior light would come on intermittently when I tried to fish wires through hole. Does there need to be 2 connections to switch or how can i access wires to tape up?

The wires for the window and door lock switches run through a rubber boot between the door and the door jamb. Most of the problems are found right there, because the wires flex every time the door is opened or closed.
Forget taping anything. If the wire is broken. it needs to be spliced, not taped.

Yeah a couple months ago, I checked these wires in my driver's door, and every single one had broken. I crimped them all back together and put a lot of tape around the connections. Everything works again, we'll see how long it lasts...
