door switches 2000 cherokee

Default door switches 2000 cherokee

need help, problem with door window switches, how do you remove the switches from the door. do they pop out or what. thank you...

You need to take the whole door panel off first then you can get to the switches. From there you should be able to get to them easier.

Bet the passenger windows don't work from their own doors. The windows only work from the drivers door, right?

If this is the issue, it is the drivers door switch. You must remove it from the door and disassemble it. The window lock switch has a crappy solder connection and it must be re-soldered. It will be the back side of the circuit board.

yes, your right they work from the drivers side, but every once in awhile they work from their own position,

Do a search on here for window lock bypass. Find the one that does not involve the paper clip. It will take you like 10 mins top to do and a cost of 5 bucks if you dont have the stuff laying around already. Works like a champ but you do lose the lock funtion completely.

it's not too difficult to do. i just covered my switch panels in plaid on my 2000 Cherokee

This is not my fix but the one i did a search for and found that doesn't involve the use of a paper clip. Hope it is useful.
