door swap will this work?
is the doors the same for a 94 or95 to a 2000? reason being i can get doors for free from a donor jeep and im lookin to make some half doors or something like that

They made changes to the front header and fenders in 97,but I do not think they changed the doors,you should be able to make all the measurments to make sure,and how they attach.

have to have the old style hinges....also the door strike is totally different.
i put 01' doors on my 91' and had to weld the newer style on.....it would be kinda hard to make the old style removable, but it can be done

i thought it was harder to make the newer style removable

get a set of newer hinges for the older doors or weld the older style door hinges to my jeep? but then i would be stuck with the older doors. i want to have full dors for rain cold ect and be able to swap out the half doors on hot days/

oh gotcha. i will have to take a look at the strikers and see. or find a free set of doors that will fit my 00. should have known that nothing free is ever easy

i asked the local jeep guru a similar question for my comanche. i am looking to put 99 doors on an 88 comanche and he said it can be done. the only thing he told me that needed to be done was that the door latch needed to be changed because the comanche was a single bar while the cherokee was a "u" shape. he didnt say anything about changing the door hinges, but i told him i was going to change them anyway because my mj driver door fell off so maybe he figured not to mention the needed change?
