door seals
alright well on my 97 4dr my door seals are leaking on the front which is all fine and dandy except for water is coming in. call the dealership and they are on backorder for atleast 3 months and are 130 dollars for one side. cant find anyone else that carries them for a 97-01. i found that quadratec had them for the 84-96 models for a whopping 30 dollars. any body used the older ones on the new body style or know where i can get the ones for my year jeep???

I don't think the old style will hold the water out.I read somewhere about the older body style using the newer seals & they are a little tighter fit.
Have you thought about the JY? Driver & pass. should be less than $30.

Has anyone replace all theirs on a 4 door and solved the water from getting in? I would like to put the carpet in but every time it rains I end up with a small amount of water on the floor. The only thing I can guess is the water is coming in around the seals and weeping in at the bottom. Just don't want to replace them unless it will solve the problem. Jebmccall let me how your comes out, I would like to stop the water also.

I bought mine from teamcherokee. The older XJ's (84-96) had thinner weatherstripping, which is why owners tend to upgrade to the 97+ weatherstripping. After putting in the new stuff I stopped having any leaks at the doors.

I have spent a lot of time tracking down a leak. Turns out I had one in the top corner above the fuse panel. Got that one fixed and then I also noticed a small water line at the bottom of 2 doors and small puddles of water below those doors.
