I have the the keyless entry on my f-150 and the only place I know of where the factory code is is locked in my filing cabinet. It came on a card with the owners manual stating to put in a secure place. I have yet to find the code anywhere else stamped into the truck. Mine is a 2006 though. I can tell you I love the keyless entry system. No more carrying my keys around. I just chunk them in the center console and I am off. I absolutely love it and if I could have it on my Jeep I would.
My buddy had one in a 89? or so town car. He tore the sticker off and that keypad came in handy several times when he locked his keys in the car or was too lazy to go get them.
So I searched online for the part number posted up in the Explorer forum. Price used ran from about $50 to $100. I would assume that does not include the wiring harness necessary to complete the install. I will make the rounds to JYs sometime in the next couple of weeks.

When walking the dogs are or when I am shopping with the wife I won't carry my wallet either unless I have too. I like to where nike, adidas, and Under Armor shorts and the extra weight sucks.
I did not know how usefull the keypad entry was till I had it. Now I love it.
