Door Chime Driving Me Insane!

Sorry Danzig. Maybe I misunderstood your OP. I took a picture of mine and you have the right plug. Maybe Chrysler changed something with the switch between our models. When I unplugged my switch I can leave the key in the ignition with the door open and it will not sound the alarm. Like I said I only did this on the '98 model.

Yeah, Chrysler is sneaky that way sometimes.

Could be because they've had about 5 different owners in the last 20 years or so.

Default I disabled the key in chime

Well, I managed to disable the key in chime, but the headlight reminder went with it.


To do this, I removed the driver's side kick panel and located the three wire connector (C317) that connects the door jamb switch. On the female side (door side) there are three wires. Black Yellow and Black with a light blue tracer in the middle. I pulled the pin out for the black/Blue wire and now I have a door activated dome light but no ding-ding.

I taped up the exposed pin to finish the job.
