Did it run okay prior to letting the battery go dead?

Install a new battery.

The PCM will be reset while you have the battery cables diconnected.

Even though the battery is charged it still may not be in good enough condition for the electronics to work properly. If it does it after you get a new one on it could very well be a throttle body and IAC issue.

I had that problem, replaced my tps and it stopped it from me having to keep in the gas while at idle

There are occasions when the battery voltage drops below 9 volts while the engine is running, or the key is turned to RUN, the PCM will go stupid.

You may luck out by simply disconnecting the battery negative cable for about five minutes and trying again. The battery must be fully charged before attempting another run. And the battery electrolyte solution level must be topped off (1/4" above the baffles). Make sure the battery cable connectors are totally free from corrosion.

If the battery is over five years old, get a new one. Life expectancy of batteries is 3-5 years.
