This weekend or next weekend I am cutting the hinges to go doorless. How do I bypass the dome light so it doesn't stay on.

Take out push button switch, cut and splice a small SPDT switch into on of the wires. When you want to go doorless pull out the OE switch, flip your switch, and bam, no inside lights when doors are off

Not to sound like a *** but, stupid words please.

Single Pole Double Throw Switch. A small one, go to radio shack and ask for one. Than, the push button switch on the chassis that the door depresses to turn the lights on or off, pull that out. Cut the white wire, strip it and solder the switch in between the cut wire, so when you want to go doorless just pull out the stock push button switch, flip your switch and power will be shut off to dome lights. Do this on both doors.

run wires and mount the toggle in the lower dash panel aint got to pull out just flip the switch

un do the bat befroe you pull the door switch it has constant 12 or you be looking for the fuse next post

Well tomorrow I am off to get some reinforced cut off discs for my dremal and some disconnects for all my wires. Hopefully I will get to cut the hinge off on Sunday.

What if I take the plugs underneath the panel by the floor where all the wires are and unplug the wires that go to the button that turn on/off the dome light with door.
