Default Disc brake conversion kits on Ebay

So I'm new to this. And I'm shopping for a few things while I still have some money because the 2000 sport I bought was a little cheaper than I thought.

The disc brake conversion kits on Ebay are all listed as for the Dana 35 or Dana 44. I see the write up for how to do the conversion on the 8.25 like I have, but my question is in parts. What parts are needed for one and not the other? Will what's being sold in a kit like this one be correct? Does anyone know what other things I will need to buy?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/JEEP-Dana-3...AAAOSwooRaji4d

Thanks in advance...

You can get all that stuff at the wrecking yard. The Liberty rear discs are made for the 8.25. Not shown on ebay is the proportioning valve which is highly recommended

Thanks for answering.

Other kits on ebay include the proportioning valve.

I don't get around the easiest these days, and the two trips I've made to the junkyard recently were particularly taxing, to the point where I had to stop early and didn't get everything i wanted. I'd pay the ebay premium for something with free shipping on the used parts.

OK, I understand. No spring chicken myself. Just my other 2 cents on this. If your brake lines are good, the disc brake lines are shorter because there is a short rubber line that goes on the end. If you can rework brake lines you can probably save yourself some headache

One other thought for you now that I think about it. Since there is a flexible hose that goes on the end of the brake line, there is a little bracket that the hose goes into and is secured with a clip. Not sure about the ZJ, but I used a WJ bracket for this since it unbolts from the axle housing. You will need to secure this bracket to the housing. I tack welded mine. Offer someone a couple beers to do it for you

Thanks for all the advice. I think I'll add one of these kits to the shopping list, and wait to do the conversion until I have a few days so that trips to the parts store mid-project aren't the end of the world.

I saw his thread, and they look awesome, but it looked like I missed my opportunity by a few months and he doesn't do them anymore. I don't want to bug him given the "any PMs asking if I still sell them will be ingored" line in his post, lol...

Yeah, that's what I thought too ! I just missed getting on the last list ! I've got a set of used calipers, going to rebuild and paint them. Got the new pads and rotors too. I think I'm going to just order a new set of Crown backing plates and plumb it myself.
