98 XJ 4.0 just hit 180k today.

Long story short the oil pressure was real low for about a week and I checked the oil to find it was about 2 quarts low. I added oil and 2 days later it lost about another quart.. (Atleast it seems to be that much, if I did actually fill it up the first time) point is it's using oil.. No oil on the ground, no blue smoke.. I'm at a loss here .. I threw in half a can of seafoam tonight and pressure washed the engine to see if I can see any obvious leaks but any other suggestions?

 

Check your coolant. Look for a oily film both in the res and on the top of the rad. Engines will burn oil weather you like it or not. Some faster than others. If you think its concerning just start the diag process. Seems like youve done a good thing already by degreasing it.

 

the coolant is rusty.. The PO ran water in pretty sure. The coolant isn't thick like oil however, stays the consistency of coolant.
