Had to jump my car yesterday and put the cables on wrong way and my battery smoked. Is my pcm fried now? It wont start. When i turn the key to on but dont start it the odometer and everything displays, but when i try to crank it says "no bus" on the odometer, and no voltage on the gauge. there is also a weird whining coming from under the hood when i turn the key to "on"

 

bummer.. yeah, theres a likelihood of the ECM begin toast. sounds like its time to start checking the PDC (under hood fuses), and grounds. test battery. will it crank but not turn over? or nothing? how far is spark getting?

 

check your fuses, hopefully one caught the load.

Replaced a 15 amp fuse under the hood but now the jeep is throwing a p1694 code

 

CPS? will it start?

 

Im not sure what the code is for, in my searches i did see something about cps. It does start right up now yes. But there is a funny ticking sound coming from somewhere now. I cleared the code started it up again and let it idle for 2 minutes and shut it off. Ill take it for a drive tomorrow and see how things are and i will report back.

 

Everything seems to be working fine.. Lucked out here i guess. If the code comes back ill be sure to update
