No. I picked up six of these my first trip to the JY, and they are physically shorter than the 783's. From what I understand they are the same flow and impedance, but they are too short for your Jeep fuel rail. You need ones out of a 2.4l

I had better luck with 98-00 Stratuses...Stratusses....Strati? Aw hell, Go look for a dodge stratus!

Yup. I would look for the 2.4 Neon... Check the numbers!

I just noticed that at my particular yard, all the neons were 2.0s and there were like 3 Stratus..us

What is the proper plural for Status anyway? Any english teachers on the forum?

thats a tough question, I honestly wouldnt know, I know that the vauxhalls share the GM corporate pieces, but as far as chrysler I have no idea

well what year is your XJ?

Maybe you could search for a mid 90s (i think 95-98) chrysler produced vehicle with the 2.4 Dohc 4 cylinder

What did you end up paying for the injectors?

And what will the odometer deviation be with 235's?

Same guy I got mine from. Make sure when you do buy from him, you email him and let him know you need the Bosch #280 155 703.

I ordered a rebuild kit from Mr. Injector and replaced the o-rings, filters, and pintle caps for $28.

Ok, so I went to this link and read the following.

Another alternative for the stock 99-up 4.0L is the (22.8#=240cc @ 43.5psi) Ford XR3Z 9F593 A4B / XR3E 9F593 A4B (MOTORCRAFT #CM-4956 )which is the newest design and offer even better performance.

So I ordered a set of these brand new in the Ford package and they look identical to what is pictured on the below link and I got them in today. They only have 1 hole in the bottom, not 4, and the link says they are the newest design with better performance over the others, what is up with that.

This from COAS in A PM:
The older design injectors were basically the same approach, the main method for increasing atomization was by increasing holes number and reducing each hole size. One can't add holes and reduce size indefinitely, so a new approach was needed when regulations became more strict.

The newer design is not relaying on number of holes, it's a completely different approach with the difference in the internal orifice which allow far better atomization. This allow even better ability to work on variable pressure, as with most newer car the pressure is computer controlled.
This, in turn, gives more accurate fuel mixture at any given pressure.

You can check the two in your fuel rail, when out, and compare the spray pattern, with the newer the fuel is like a mist.
