Did the injector swap...and WOW!
I just ordered a new set of these for my 01 XJ (22.8#=240cc @ 43.5psi) Ford XR3Z 9F593 A4B / XR3E 9F593 A4B (MOTORCRAFT #CM-4956 )
I also ordered an open element filter and new muffler so when they all get here I will cut the cat off and put all of this on at the same time, I am hoping to see a noticable difference.

According to the Info sheet previously posted ^^ The ford #19 Injectors 0280155710** 200cc @ 43.5 psi that i pulled from the junkyard will work with my xj.. 98 limited 2wd.. I have replaced the injectors already, and have tested them thoroughly and everything checks out good.. My question today is, what would be the overall difference between ford 200cc and neon 238cc.. what would be the effect on the engine and overall flow?? Thanks for the help..
When i was at the JY all The neons were stripped of injectors i have no idea y but i found plenty of these ford ones..

So, why not "yellow stick" #19 Ford Bosch 0280155710 injectors? (same injector also has part numbers:F4SZA, CM4768, F4SEA1B, 0280155710, F6VZ9F593AA, F5VZ9F593AA, 0280155700, CM4809).

Because stock XJ injectors flow more than 230cc, and these flow about 210cc, and don't have a clip nut for holding the injectors level.(The 0280155745 does take a clip nut and is otherwise identical to 0280155710 )
all stock XJ injectors use a clipnut.

So you will run pretty lean at WOT... shouldn't be a problem unless your pulling a massive hill in the middle of summer... then you might overheat quick fast and in a hurry.
Good looking jeep, is that a HID conversion?

And for the #19 there fine unless im at WOT which in these jeeps we dont hit that very much... Is there a way to add a 7th injector to help @ wot or would it be better to head back to the JY and pocket some of the neon 703s?

overall flow = ~15% less
it should be alright, they do flow significantly less than your stock injectors, I would take them out change the filters and give them a good clean, as you have much less margin then if you had of went with the 703s, double check you have 49 psi on the fuel rail.
just my thoughts but if your going to put in an injector that flows 15% less than the stock injector then the rest of the fuel system& the replacement injectors have got to be in tip top condition or you are asking for trouble.
obviously if it starts to ping up a hill in summer you are gonna have to do something.
Adding a 7th injector would not be cost effective, you can get 6 rebuilt 703 injectors for $150 + postage any day of the week.

what? you can ad 7 injectors in an L6... all i know is that if you want to avoid running lean at WOT( if your showing off
) Then you gotta go with the MAP sensor mod... allows you to "manually" adjust fuel ratio.

And y u pay for them a pair of cargo pants or hind in compartment in tool box and there free.. Actually are you of the guys ive seen out at towers show?? no that i look at ur rig it looks familiar..

u Pull it didnt have much other than ford injectors all the neons/caravans etc were stripped of 703s and other than those were the 784s which i cant use..
Thats what i have are the ford 19 210cc injectors yellow stick but the flow is less and might lean out a WOT.. So i have them in for now and who knows this might give me slightly better MPG ince the flow rating is less..
And for the previous post that asked about rail pressure its reads 49 and i have done the test several times to insure proper readings.. Im about to install my a/f gauges pretty soon so ill have a better reading of lean/rich conditions at WOT.. One gauge for each bank.. o2 sensor on one bank reading a/f ratio. From my understanding it should read and send proper signal to ecm. cutting half of the a/f should read the same as a/f from all 6 cyl. Thats all they are there for since im going to run a true dual exhuast setup with flowmaster super 44 mufflers and already have the pacesetter headers installed. Heat coated and heat wrapped.. getting the piping done this weekend with turn down pipe before my 8.25 chry. until i get suspension and things done the route it out the back.
sorry back to thread, even though its been here a while..

I recently purchased a 2001 sport with 179,000 on it, stock 3.55's and 31's. After a couple of steady 12.5 mpg tanks, I started looking for options. The easiest thing I could find was the Neon/Stratus Injector swap. I heard anything from 1-5 MPG in the reviews, and was intregued. I figured even if I could gain 1mpg steadily, that it was worth it for the money in the long run. I was careful to note how I drove before and after the swap, a mixture of mostly 45-55mph country cruising, and daily commuter stop and go.
I pulled the Injectors at the yard, (4 out of a 98 Stratus, and 4 out of a 00 Stratus...both with the 2.4l) They are all Chrysler part no. 04669938. Be careful with the Dodge Neons with the 2.0l as opposed to the 2.4. Just because they are the same year, and they have similar looking injectors, doesn't mean they are the same PN. They are too short.
Long story short, I got new O-rings, Soaked the injectors in Seafoam, Opened them up with a 9v battery and backflushed them with some shop air, and installed them. I decided to add some Seafoam to the fuel tank at the same time as I did the swap, due to some carbon deposits that I saw in the intake. I am normally not one for Magical Do-all potions for 10 bucks a bottle, but I read alot of people got better gas mileage running it through.
I just topped off the tank tonight after driving for 87 Miles, and it took 5.107 Gallons. That works out to roughly 17 MPG! From 12.5! That's a gain of 4.5 mpg.
I tried to treat this swap as objectively and scientifically as possible. I would say that I drove the last 87 miles as carefully as I drove the previous 400, maybe even more spirited. I did do a couple 0-70 digs right off the bat to see if there were any performance gains. I did notice a little bit more pull on the top end after about 3500...maybe. I wouldn't call it much of a horsepower/torque gain if any. Nor would I say I had noticeably better throttle response...as some have observed.
For my money, this is the best swap I have ever done. I will post more results as soon as I run a full tank through it.

for my 2001 Cherokee 4.0L
I DID NOT REMOVE FUEL RAIL
THESE INJECTORS DO NOT USE THE STOCK CLIPNUTS
I completed the job in 1.5 hours start to finish. A monkey with a screwdriver and a pliers could do this job. I DID NOT remove the fuel line from the fuel rail. I was able to rotate the rail a bit upward while connected to fuel line and I removed and installed the new injectors.
The truck runs smoother at idle. Its quick as all hell but it was before as well since I ran that seafoam crap.. That stuff works man!
Anyway, I see very little difference.. At least they work and apparently according to that post at http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=92236 they are the best ones.
I can assure you they work for my 2001 without clipnuts and its an easy job!! DO IT!! You can buy them on the company website as well for 60.00!! Look em up on eBay..
I just spoke with http://www.mrinjector.us/ Bill.. I bought Filters and O rings for my stock units and for some used injectors Boche 784's that are on the way.. He told me for this style Intake spray pattern is not critical if not relevant at all. Thats why Jeep kept using these injectors that shoot gas like a water gun. Spray pattern is critical in OTHER applications but not on the 4 liter because, according to Bill, this style intake will put gas in a READY mode for use during driving and that gas can SIT inside the motor/ head/ cylynder until its used.. So spray patter is meaningless.. Somehting like this he told me.. Im no motor genius.. These guys have all the rebuild parts for the stock injectors. Anyway, I now have in my possession the fords stated here, I have 2 sets of stock injectors that will be refurbished to new, and I have a set of 784's that Im rebuilding with new rings, filters and caps, I will also be ordering the c4b's. When I am done I will have mileage specs on ALL 4 sets of injectors.. I will run two tanks out on each style to see what gas mileage I get.. When im done the results will be exacting.. Right now im lucky to get 15mpg with these fords Im running as stated in this thread. By the time Im done I will have spend hundreds of dollars to rebuild and buy injectors.. So much so i will begin to sell them off.. I even bought a Jewlry cleaner to clean the tips. lol.. All in the persuit of better gas mileage.. Im starting to spend so much on injectors that I wont make it up on gas..
