Defrost/air issue

So my cherokee now only blows cold on when I have defrost on and such but if I try to switch to hot air at all my air flow stops. Does anyone know how that could be or what could be causing it?? Any input would be much appreciated!!

We don't know what year and model Jeep have.

I have a 1998 cherokee sorry about that

I have a 1998 jeep cherokee that will blow cold air but once I turn it to hot air it stops blowing air entirely
