Defective NTK 23553 O2 Oxygen Sensor
I've been chasing a slight hesitation problem from a stop on my 90XJ 4.0.
I decided to change the O2 sensor, since its age is unknown, with an NTK 23553.
Aside from the hesitation problem the engine idled and ran without any other issues.
I installed the NTK and the engine would wildly fluctuate between 100-300 RPMs. Sometimes to the point of stalling.
I returned the NTK and exchanged it with a Bosch sensor. Now I have steady idle RPMs and it seems that the hesitation is gone.
