Question Decent All Around Shock

So after going through 15 pages of posts about shocks after a search I still haven't found what I am looking for...

So, I am running 4.5 RC lift on 31's. I currently have the RC shocks that came with the lift. But they have taken some abuse and I would like something better.

This is a DD, Tow, and wheeler. So I would like some opinions on a good all around shocks. Some thing that will be a bit nicer of a ride on the road, still be able to handle towing around 2k, and give me good performance offroad.

As for price, if they will hold up and are good then I have no problem spending the money. So lets say I don't want to spend more then $400 for all four shocks.

Your thoughts?

Thanks!

You will find many opinions, everyone has there own favs. alot of shocks are made by only a few companies. My advise would be nitros are a bit stiffer than hydraulic shocks and would not provide as good of an on road ride.
Iam going to buy doetsch tech baja riders for mine.

I use Pro Comp ES300s, and they are OK. If you don't mind spending some money, I hear a lot of good things about the Bilsteins as well as Old Man Emu. I just know that they are a little on the pricey side, but sound like great shocks. HTH!!

IMO if you want the best get Bilsteins..

I've ran Rough Country and there OK on road and OK off
Rusty's OK for about 6 weeks than they seem to fall off
Ol Man Emu ran them too they always seemed rather stiff
Rubicon Express all I've ran sucked

Liek said before it's all in personal opinion..
