I got death wobble and I can rotate my drag link with my hand without even trying. Can this be the cause?

It could be.

Check every steering component, though. It could be a combination of things.

I can rotate mine with just a small amount of force

Check your trac bar, tre's, frame mount for the tb, allignment, ball joints.

The two times that I've had death wobble, it's been the ball joints both times.

If not corrected, death wobble can result in damage to front end parts; parts absolutely CANNOT handle that wild movement of death wobble over and over.

I'd try to find and correct the root cause. It isn't always difficult (sometimes though it is!). But with proper research and some determination, you can fix yours. I've fixed it on a number of XJs.

Death wobble is not something to take lightly. Carefully inspect all your steering components while someone turns the wheel back and forth. Check to see what parts have play. Replace accordingly.

This^^^ perform a dry steering test to check for play in components.
Turn steering wheel between 10 o'clock & 2 o'clock and look at TB connections, TRE, DL connections

If you have a lift then make sure you adjust your upper control arms. Also check for and/or tighten any loose parts and if you have not done so already and you have over 100k on the ticker, then change out your ball joints.
