Yes you can, but it's likely that the ones for a 5" lift will be too long for your current lift. I may be wrong but check it out. Iron Rock Offroad has some good ones reasonable.

Just my two cents...but the XJ platform was build for 17 years here and continues unchanged in China. If the original design was truly flawed, Chrysler would have been sued into the graveyard.

There is nothing wrong with the design. It's a compromise...like ALL front end designs are a compromise no matter how much money is spent (Maserati's are known for a tendancy to exhibit "cowl shake", a much more frightening chassis dynamic).

So, given that Rusty's and every other fabricator out there is not likely to come up with a fix that umpteen Chrysler engineers missed, I'd put my parts money and time on returning the components to "as new".

If each joint is fresh, tires are good and aired properly, and all the shock absorbers are fresh, and all is aligned properly, the car is going to drive out normally. If you have a DW after all this, there is something else wrong with the car - bent unibody, etc. Believe me, the car did not leave North Jefferson with a DW. It has been introduced over time or by wear, accident or intentional alteration.

I would start with 100% factory fresh parts, stock tire size/inflation, fresh shocks, fresh stabilizer, and get back to a normally performing vehicle BEFORE alterations for off-road fun. You can't have much fun if the thing kills you on the way to the fun and sooner or later DW will harm you, not to mention other people you happen to wobble into.

Don't get me wrong, I think some lifts are cool and so are alot of other mods. But there is a point where an XJ is modded so heavily it just doesn't belong on the roads. Incurable DW is life-threatening to more people than the driver.

Like I said...just my two cents.
