Tolerate no coolant leaks. That can lead to problems when you come to another issue like this.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, you need to educate yourself about the potential for the 0331 cylinder head to crack. Knowledge is power.

Don't forget that an engine is a "component", like any other component. A big one? Yup, but not that big of a deal to swap a different one in there.

If it comes to that, a salvage yard engine is not a bad option............And it doesn't break the bank.

I'd swap if needed personally. My XJ AW4 died on me earlier this year but I got another AW4 for $200 a shop put it in for me for $275 and about $10 for a can of Kooler Clean to flush my transmission cooler and lines. For under $500 I got her back on the road.
My point being really that you can get them back cheaper than it is to just go back into debt. Mine was paid off already.
