My parts shipped without me needing to poke them about it.

I'm willing to be patient with delays so long as they are up front and let me know. Yeah, the post-order automated email was a bit amusing though.

I got an email on Thursday saying:

"The one picked for your order was of very poor quality and we didn't feel comfortable
sending them out. We are in the process of sourcing one of much better quality for you.
If you no longer wish to wait please let us know and we can send you a refund.
But we can guarantee you'll receive good condition parts!
"

Replied that I'm willing to wait. I received a FedEx Home tracking number yesterday, showing in transit and arriving on Tues. I'm shocked that they actually shipped, and really hope it's the right part and in reasonable condition. I'm pretty sure they paid way more to ship a 13-lb package cross country, than what I paid them for the part.

Well I received it, and I'm seriously disappointed. Here's what was on the website, described as "99-04 Grand Cherokee WJ Power Brake Boost Booster, in good shape with no leaks."

Here's the rusty piece of junk I received.

I bit surprising that they shipped it with the reservoir full of fluid. The rust is through the body in a few places and it does not hold a vacuum. It's junk.

Did you pay with a credit card by chance?

The sad thing is that I think they paid more to ship it, than I paid for it.

Yeah, I used credit card. So if they won't refund or respond, I'll contact the credit card company and do a charge-back.

It took a week, but they finally responded to my email and refunded me. The hassles they caused me and themselves by shipping a crappy part....

Man I feel bad for you both. DeadJeep did me right many times when I needed stuff for my J10.

Not sure how far away you are, but there are a thousand WJs in U-Pull-It yards near me. And I frequently visit. If you need something simple like a master/booster, let me know and I can see if I can find it for you. I wouldn't mind spending an extra few minutes pulling something like that.

Default Dead jeep

I'm going through an almost identical problem with them, on a steering column. Paid for on the 24th of December.. many emails later they finally sent me an email on 1/29 saying it had shipped and gave me tracking number.. as of this morning 2/08 ups tracking indicates the part still hasn't left deadjeep facility, it's just a created label at this point... Totally ridiculous

A few people posted that they had good luck over the last year, but unfortunately your post sounds like they really haven't gotten their mail order crap together.

Based on my communications with them, the picture on the website is not the actual part. Aside from engines and transmission, they don't have anything on the shelf ready to ship. They don't look to see what condition the parts are in or pull them until someone orders one, then they search the lot and ship whatever they can find. In my case a rusty out piece of junk. Others have complained about similar delays and broken or incorrect parts.

Have you gotten this reply yet?

or this head scratcher?

Hi there, I checked your order for you. Your items are still awaiting shipment at this time, while our handling time is 7-10 business days after laying off eighty percent of our company for mishandling parts we are currently running a little behind in fulfilling our orders. We are doing our best to catch up. If you are uncomfortable waiting any longer we completely understand and we will be able to cancel and process a refund for you should you request it. Let us know and our sincerest apologies for the delay. (Nov 2022)

I will say I had great service last year ordering an AX15/231 external slave upgrade. Then my A/C compressor crapped so I ordered the new style bracket so I could put the delete pulley on. I ordered on 12/20/23 and received the same emails as you, well low and behold the local JY got a 93 on 2/6/24 I went over got the bracket, now I'm running again. They were understanding and refunded with no problem.
