Default dead pedal for XJ

I've been searchin' the clear-net but not coming up with anything as of yet.

Anyone know if there's a company out there that makes a "dead pedal" for our XJ's? ..... OR... one for a different vehicle but works well in the XJ too

For longer road trips it would sure be nice just did a 2,000 mile trip a month ago and it really would've been nice to have.
I've found them for GC's, but not our XJ's.

You could make something yourself. I don't think demand is high enough for something like this to be manufactured at a mass market level.

Not sure what you mean by dead pedal, to me that means you push the gas pedal and nothing happens, you can unhook your throttle cable and accomplish that LOL.

A block of wood. Little flashing with a few finishing nails boom! Fancy dead pedal.

Yeah... I know they have one for the GC's.. but wasn't finding anything for the XJ. It doesn't have to be perfect, heck... if I knew one from a GC would work that's close enough for what I want it for.

It is a hard mounted pedal (similar in size to a gas pedal, or brake pedal) that doesn't do anything, but gives your other foot a place to rest against. Some people find it more comfortable during long drives, or when using their left foot to do left foot braking. Many newer cars have a special little flat area on the left for this purpose (At least my Honda minivan, Accord, and Subaru all did).

My 74 Z had one also, as did my 1970 Datsun 2000.

Kinda wish my 78 Alfa Spider had one.....Hmmmm. Project.

They are really nice to help stabilize your body going over the rough stuff as well. On long trips they help keep your spine straight and relieve the pressure on your hips. I think the one in my ZJ was welded in, but maybe not.

Bolted in. Had to remove mine in order to pull up the carpet and undo PO's speaker wiring.

Hmmmm. I should go grab the one off my 95 parts zJ and see if I could use it in my Alfa Romeo......
