If the fuse was blown it means there is a short to ground someplace in the circuit. Did you replace the radio recently?

My dash light problem turned out to be one of the sockets for the fuse in the fuse block. It was broken and could no longer hold tension on the fuse blade. The fix was to shim it until it was tight again.
