Dashclock wiring
I pulled a 4-wire Dashclock off a Cherokee at the junkyard today, thinking my '92 sport would have the harness plugin. It didn't.
I think the jeep i pulled it off was an '88 Laredo, i can't remember because i tried pulling the clock out of 3 jeeps. Anyways, i need to know where all the wires go. I think i have 2 of the wires figured out from searching Google, but all the articles i could find were either unanswered or extremely vague.
-Red (Constant power?)
-Black (Ground?)
-Blue w/ White stripe (Key power? (Let the clock know when the key is on))
-Blue w/ Black stripe (Backlight?)
What i think i need to do based on what i found with Google is:
Tap the RED wire into the fuse block there it says "Clock", and use an in-line fuse since i only see one contact for it
Ground the BLACK wire w/e
Tap the B/W Wire into my Non-OEM Fog light wire, which is only on with the key
Tap the B/B wire into a Dashlight wire
But i want to be 100% sure before i go use up my wire, and so i don't fry anything.
