Default Darn heater core problems

Well i decided to install the new heater core in the jeep since its starting to get cold at night. I got everything out and installed the new heater core. Although im having trouble getting the black blower box back in. I normally get things done with ease , there is not enough room in there . I can get it in place but cant get the dowel pin to go in its proper location , as well as the studs through the fire wall. I really lost it tonight with the jeep, Ive never been so frustrated.

I went in the house and threw the 52 inch t.v. out the door and then began bashing it with a ball peen hammer . call me a jack ***** i dont care , ive never done anything like that before. It felt pretty good to relive some built up stress from work and working on the jeep.

If anyone has put one in please give me some advice.

ok update :

I got it in finally with a extra set of hands , i pushed from inside and my friend pulled up and aligned the dowels through the firewall. What a pain in the rear this little project was. I am very mechanical ive built many motors and rearends . I would of rather changed a head gasket or rebuild a shortblock.

At least we wont be freezing now

Thumbs up

Yes...a sticky or "how to" would be nice. I am sure all of us at one time, will have to do the same replacement. Knowledge is Power !!!

When I get upset doing a fix....I would kick the dog and reach for a bottle....now I have a 100lbs Pit American Bull Dog...mmm...so I just reach for the bottle.

Boy.. get a new TV....lots of sale on "Black Friday" coming up. You don't want to miss any football game. Get to buds house to watch Dallas vs Oakland today....that will be a good game. Don't forget the refreshments and don't drink and drive. Or my boys....will be seeing you...

Have a great Turkey Day to all you Jeepers and team that make this site happen.......The Judge....

ok i finally got around to testing it, we had to run to a few places and we took the cobra. Im still not getting heat out of the vents, I checkes the coolant level and its full after driving it and then letting it cool. I also put in a new heater control valve. I checked the vacume lines, everything seams to be in order. What else could be wrong or overlooked?

Did you make sure it actually has vacuum to the valve, did the line have vacuum?if the valve is opening and closing and the lines to and from the heater core are hot,it has no choice but put out heat.
Seeing that it is turkey day I think you need to just relax eat some turkey and watch football on tv,lol.
