Default Dana 30 question

My pinion bearing is going bad and I was looking to get a complete overhaul kit for it. Rock auto carries the kit but under 99 jeep Cherokee they have 2 different kits. One for a short pinion d30 and the other one just says d30. My question is which kit is the one I would need for my 99?

I have a high pinion d30 but the info for the kit doesn't say anything about high pinion or low pinion. Just short pinion.

Well I went and bought the short pinion kit for my hp d30 but I think its the wrong one. The box says for '00 & up XJ which would be a low pinion d30.

Yes you indeed got the wrong one if you have a hp 30. The words standard rotation basically mean for low pinion 30s in tj's or late model xj's

Well after this hassle I understand now. I ordered it on the information that was posted above I guess I just misunderstood it.
