Default Custom TC Drop?

Has anyone done a custom TC drop? If so, for a 1" drop, what size bolts should I buy and what should I use for spacers. I tried searching the forum, but didn't have much luck. I am pretty new at this so bare with me.

10mm 1.25 thread pitch IIRC.

Just get some washers, its good enough IMO.

Or a peice of aluminum flat 1" thick.

Thats exactly what i did, i used 1.5" square tubing for a 4.5" lift and 2" square tubing on our 5.5" lifted xj.

got rid of any vibrations and pushed the slip yoke right back in.

Id advise against this for anything but a quick fix thats only temporary.

That puts a lot of strain on your TC where it meets the transmission and the tranny bushings that are on the crossmember. Tried to do more than 1" on mine and it binded like crazy.

Why would it strain the transfer case? It just hangs there and the mount is on the trans itself. I havent had any problems with mine and have been running it for almost a year now. My 91 has a custom built 2" dropping crossmember and stiff poly mounts. Havent been running that setup long but so far its been fine.

How else can one get driveline angles better? And not everyone can afford a SYE kit.

Thanks for the help and suggestions. I'm putting a 3" rusty's lift on and 31's in a couple weeks and can't wait. Figured the tc drop wouldn't hurt.
