is there a way to take the cubby hole out thats below the glove box on a 92 xj

somewhere floating around there is a really cool switch panel made into that little cubby let me look for ya

It's a hole. The only way to take it "out" is to put something in its place...

what im trying to do is take it out so i can cut a hole so my cb fits in the cubby hole
