hello! I have a 93 cherokee 4.0 aw4 4x4 etc... anyhow, my cruise control works whenever it damn well pleases.... i will be using it and it will cut out whenever it wants. and well.... it pretty much just works intermittently for lack of a better description. I figure if it was a fuse it would just never work. someone please tell me what they think. thanks!

 

Could be an intermittent electrical problem, could be vacuum. What have you done as far as diagnostics?

 

Vacuum leak is very likely.. check from the vacuum reservoir on back. Those tiny plastic hoses crack easily. I checked everything on my '93 including electrical switches, wiring, vacuum lines etc. It turned out to be the servo. Mine wasn't intermittent tho, it just didn't work. JY servo fixed it right up ($27) Your issue sounds like vacuum, but the leak could be in the servo itself.
