Default Cruise control problem?
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee with a high idle when the cable for the cruise control is hooked to the throttle, I disconnect the cable and it idles fine, is the cruise bad or the throttle spring?

does the cruise control cable move freely or is it seized?

how is supposed move? Neither of the cruise controls are new

Sounds like the cable is seized and pulling on the throttle so when you start you're starting with an open throttle

So I'm guessing I have 2 bad ones and should just buy new
