cruise control
i have an 89 laredo and under the hood i see a cruise control servo but im not sure where the controls are. i think its the button and little sliding switch on the end of the multifunction switch? if so which button does what? also is there an indicator light on the dash when its on? im looking through my wiring diagrams but i dont see a light. also when i went to find the diagrams for the cruise control (alldata) it had 2 options, one "with PCM" and "with VCM". I'm assuming pcm is powertrain control module which every car with a computer has i think, but whats VCM and how do i know if i have that? the diagram for that is much more complex.

vcm is probably vacuum control module. it would be the large bulb instead of having an electrically controlled cruise. usually its roundish and could be anywhere in the engine bay
the round thing with the cable going to the throttle? i thought that was the servo. its wierd though, the diagram for "with VCM" has everything the other one does but it also is somehow wired into the rear hatch and doors. so cruise turns off when doors are open or something? but what about the light, is there one?
