Do all your heat settings work? If its stuck on defrost then look at the vac line behind the battery. They tend to rub on battery and get a hole. If not check all vac lines including the ones to the bottle behind front bumper. My line broke and took out my cruise and heat.

Really that bottle can stop my heat from working??? The guy I bought this Jeep off of said the heater core was clogged but the bottle is broke.... I noticed this the other day. Maybe I should get another bottle and vac lines before I try and replace the core lol.

My cruise control doesnt work and I knew it was the vac lines and/or bottle. But didnt know it affected heat!

Ok, 99,9% of the times i have fixed those CC systems it was one of either these two things: there is a plug under the steering wheel with a flat cable that happens to hang low where the pedal assembly is and sometimes it was ripped out. Follow the cable from the CC levers and you'll find it. The other most probable issue is in the vacuum motor, this motor is the one that pulls the throttle and is vacuum operated by the CC module that is that yellow box under the steering wheel with AMC written on it. To check if the vacuum motor is good pull a direct vacuum hose to the motor and if it starts to accelerate it works, otherwise it is shot.

Ok i just read the post of the bottle, obviously if the vacuum line is broken no vac= no cc.

should be in the left corner of the bumper in your case, since it is in the right corner on the left hand drive vehicles.

Will this really stop your heat from working? ALso will this affect my vents to not work either? I can only defrost.

I picked up my Jeep yesterday from the mechanic who replaced my heater core.

When I started it the check engine light was on and the CC didn't work.

The shop was closed so I went to Advance to get them to give me the reading on the check engine light (02 sensor, . They flipped it off and it hasn't come back on but the CC still doesn't work.

I'm going to call the mechanic in a bit to let them know because I certainly had working CC when I dropped it off yesterday morning.
