so i replaced my tranny mount and the crossmember nuts that are factory welding in the frame rail broke so and idieas how to fasten tight my crossmember...

gonna have to cut your floor open where the crossmember is

i had the same thing happened. gonna have to cut the floor or a part of the "framerail" out to weld in a new one

If you don't want to cut/weld, how about a nutsert? That is what the JCR skidplate uses, worked pretty well for me. I got mine used, so had to get nutserts from Fastenal , then read the installation directions from JCR.

i usually will cut a slit in the side of the frame rail and remove the factory welded nuts, then after re-welding the new hardware in. Weld the slits in the frame rail back shut again

Did the nuts break loose or did the threads just strip? Mine were stripped and I just retaped them to use slightly larger metric bolts.

thanks everyone for your ideas. There is a drain plug if you remove the carpet from drivers side. i cut the hole a little bigger and put nut and bolt only because i dont have a welder. then i pop rivided a piece of metal over the hole i cut bigger.. works great and if i needed to get to it again for a skid plate in the future its really not that hard to peel the carpet from the hole.
