crazy sound from front of car when in 4wd

my friend had the same problem on his jeep with the 242. i watched underneath and thought it maybe the pinion on the axle. but then under closer inspection found that the exhaust pipe bracket was broken and the pipe was rubbing the driveshaft. just a thought on something else to check
