Default Crank but no start

So l last night I was driving home from my friends house and I hit one of those metal plates in the road and the jeep died immediately. I checked for spark and there was none. The fuel pump is priming and fuel is getting to the rail. I tried changing the distributor cap, Ignition coil and im waiting on a cps to come in from my local autopart stores warehouse. What do you guys think it is? I know that 9/10 no spark is the cps but I just replaced it less that 2 months ago.

If you are getting fuel it's unlikely going to be your cps. When they go bad you lose both spark and fuel. I would start by checking all the wiring. something was more then likely knocked loose or disconnected when you hit the bump.
BTW, If you still want to change you cps. Cancel the order from the parts store and get a cps from the dealer. The part st cps's are garbage and have been known to be bad right out of the box and if they do work the have a real short life span.

I already checked all the wiring but now I've run into a new problem i dropped one of the bolts into the bell-housing and can't get it to fit through between the flywheel and bell-housing its almost like its only 1mm to big to clear it and drop out the inspection plate.

That SUCKS!!!
I hate to say it. But you are going to have to unbolt everything to separate the trans far enough to let the bolt to drop out. Someone else on here said that they did the same thing and they were able to get it out with a magnet. I have no idea how hard it will be to do that. I hope you can get it out without to much of a problem. You absolutely DO NOT want to leave it in there. Also from what I have read you need to use the exact same type of bolt and it can't be replaced by any bolt off the shelf.
Let us know how it turns out.
Good Luck!

Plates they use to cover holes in the road

And i pulled the starter off and fished the bolt out from behind the torque converter with a magnet.
Your going to love this though after all the effort I went through I decided to check the fuses one last time just for ****s and giggles and wouldn't you know it was that little 30amp fuse under the hood this entire time
All in all another fun day with the jeep lol Especially now that it's running ha

Cool, glad you got it running. Now you will have to trace that circuit and find the short that caused the fuse to blow.
