Default Cracked Radiator

Welp I have a cracked radiator that was spitting like crazy. Got it pulled and everything already, but now I'm looking for replacements. Best bang for my buck? Any opinions?

I used Advance Auto Parts and paid online with a coupon code. Google for Advance Auto codes for the best deal. I paid online and drove to the store to pick up in 10 minutes. No hassles.

You NEED to transfer all the little transmission fittings from the old rad to the new one so don't toss the old rad until the new one is in.

Just a quick pass through the website and I can get a brand new rad for $80.99 with the coupon codes. Ive had mine for 3 years now. Absolutely no problems.

I changed the t-stat, waterpump and fan clutch while I was in there. Also flushed the system several times.

i suggest an all aluminum one... the stock ones are plastic tanks on the sides that crack a lot. spend the money and get a good one if you treasure the engine lol

problem these days is majority are plastic endtanks. Good luck finding one under $170 with metal endtanks. It sucks.

well underr $200 is a good price compared to busting another one and overheating you jeep again.

when my tanks busted my rings got wore out and oil pressure droppd considerably. it completels starved the block from any coolant at all. spend a little extra money now and you wont have to do it again in the future or risk hurting the engine.

I like all metal radiators for a replacement. That being said, my original OEM one on my 99 went 11 years and 135k. When it did go, it was cracked plastic though that did it in.

radiatorbarn.com moves a lot of radiators and they will probably have a handful of different ones for you to choose from.

I like NAPA for pretty much all of my "bricks and mortar" parts. My experience is that they (generally) stock a little higher quality line of parts than some of their competitors who compete more on price point.

Price is not a big factor for me in purchasing automotive parts. I've been wrenching for 38 years and I learned not to shop price (exclusively) 37 years ago.....The main factor for me is generally the brand name of the part. Quality varies GREATLY in automotive parts. I like to do things once, not twice, and that is what often happens with cheap charlie crap parts. Then you end up paying more over the long haul, not to mention the potential for breakdowns, etc.

And stay away from ebay unless the brand name is confirmed. There are tons of junk parts floating around in "the bay".
