Default Cracked the block in my XJ, what to replace??

Hey guys,

The block cracked in my XJ. I already tracked down a replacement motor with accessories out of a 93, it has about 80k on it. While the motor is out I was going to replace the following:

oil pan gasket
rear crankshaft seal
timing cover seal (Should I do a new timing chain and sprockets while in there??)
freeze plugs

The motor ran great before it got t-boned, so no plans to mess with the head gasket. I am planning to remove the oil filter adaptor so I can prevent that from leaking in the future, if it's not already.

I'm also going to replace the motor mounts, however, it's a daily driver...I'm leaning towards Brown Dog rubber mounts, but I do like the Ironman motor mounts, but those are poly. Anybody who dailies their truck have a preference?

Also, tranny mount is probably gonna need replaced, should I go poly on that or just OEM???

I'd stick to rubber mounts on a DD.

Poly mounts vibrate alot!! Rubber mounts last a long time. Far as I know mine are stock and my jeep is a 2000.

Yeah, I've been talking to Brown Dog Motor Mounts...they advised for a daily driver with some weekend duty in my area (Northern Indiana) they'll last a minimum of 5 years, probably lots longer.

Now to get all the gaskets and prepare to rebuild!
