Cps swap
An you use a 94 CPs in a 98 cherokee? Both are inline 6 engines. And FYI it is a new sensor, not pulled out of the old engine

After looking around, it looks like the 2 years have different part numbers. I don't know what could be different between the two though...

Give her a go and let us know? From the harness, one should be well grounded, one should be about 5V. (sensor feed), so you can find those two. The third might be what your PCM will use. The ground should be easy, but telling which is witch on the sensor feed and pcm input(On the sensor side)...maybe radi or even rrich can help there, not me! (or olds or tj or fredgr or who? Here's some stuff. Could be that they are the same transducers, just with different plugs, just don't know....OR HANK!

I wouldn't chance it if it is a different part number. There can be "subtle" differences in electrical or spacing that may bite you in the ***.
It is a critical sensor. Install the right one.

Maybe I didn't follow right, but I think I saw him measure a similar 1/3 plus, of an AC Volt, from the CPS, as we look for on our Renix Jeeps. (that's "backprobing" there, not disconnected, as with 87-90 Renix Jeeps)HERE IN THIS VIDEO ON POST rENIX CPS TESTING vvv

Eh. The only visible difference appears to be the connector. OBDII went to a different harness.
The sensor itself has the same three connections- ground, +5V and Signal out.
If the mounting and dimensions are identical, I bet it'd work.

Kind of what I was wondering... My two wire Echlin CSS980 on the (till including 90 Renix Jeep), Seems to have gone from .4 after installation, to .5 plus, then again up. Couple months, not so many miles to .6 plus.
